Suffering a very turbulent period with severe depression. The emotional pain is far worse than any physical pain i have ever been in.
I say it to family and they sidestep it.
My gp is just prescribing me medications that arent working and im locked out of the surgery because of covid.
Psycatrist is only able to see me every three or four months.
The psycologist is the same. He does help, but only for the hour i see him and then im back to agony.
I have been to pieta house last year. Didnt find it anygood whatsoever
In desperation i text them two months ago and they asked me was i with somebody and i said my parents were in the house and they told me to talk to them but that was the extent of their help.
The little friends i have, besides one are not so great to get help from. The friend that does help has a life too so i dont expect her to be able to help me 24/7.

I do accept and appreciate help that i get. And im open to trying ANYTHING to stop this pain. But i also know the help i do get is insufficent for what i am going through.

I honestly dont no what to do or who to turn to. Its complete torture living like this.
Has anyone any suggestions what i should do?

    First off samiritans
    Anti suicide hotline
    116 123

    Now for depression
Go out for a walk first thing in morning and last thing at night
Try jogging or gardening so you not sitting at home thinking
Get 8 hours of sleep but don't oversleep it makes it worse stay off your phone and computer it makes you tired and depressed
Give up anything with sugar or caffeine like tea or coffee it builds you up and knocks you down with covid your anxiety will be worse
Also some medicine makes your depression worse try meditation or yoga also reading a good book will calm your mind also you can get a therapist but due to covid it might be by zoom but it costs about 65 euro a session google some in your area look for ones are supervisors as they have more experience . Gps are no good for depression they are not trained
In ireland people are embarrassed to talk about mental illness

Give Caredoc a call. They might be able to give you something temporarily to relax or they can refer you to A&E where you can see the On call Psychiatrist.
