Roadworks speed limits on weekends?

    Hi all,

Do roadwork speed limits apply on Sundays when there are no roadworks taking place?

Passed some roadworks recently and realised that it’s always been something I’m unsure of. In many instances you’ll have works that aren’t taking place on the road (could be a bypass being built through fields) with not even a cone present, on a Sunday, with no active crews etc.

I’m assuming that the RSA has a blanket approach on this but in circumstances such as that it seems needless?

    Cheers

Yes. They apply for the duration of the works.
