DIY inverter

    I was bored there during the last lockdown and designed the PCB, ordered it and didn't really bother anymore with it until yesterday


    Put a trailing socket onto an old mains->12vac inverter I found in a skip and connected the board to the secondary coil.


    The output signal from my board is nasty, a square wave with a pause in the middle but it does work. Will have to try pure sine next. Transformer also isn't ideal - gives me 180V on the 12V input and 270 on the 8V
