I'd say her biggest shock was when the network she started with a friend wasn't as popular as she thought it would be. Discovery owns most of it now and it has lost hundreds of millions of dollars.

There's little that shocks her, she does the 'jaw-drop' for purely dramatic effect, no other reason. Half that interview was staged. She knew the answers they would give in advance as the questions and answers had been agreed on in advance. She also did several cuts and takes after the interview to get facial and bodily reactions. But it makes for great TV for the advertisers and that's what they want at the end of the day.

It might shock her to know some people don't buy in to the bs of victimhood spouted by two of the most privileged people on the planet. I find Oprah is dead behind the eyes. She has all the hallmarks of someone who is sympathising. Head leaning on her hand, nodding knowingly, staring intensely. But if you look close enough you can see she's a million miles away in her head somewhere else.

Can you blame her though? The number of stories of trauma etc. she's heard she probably is desensitised to the whole thing.
