Casual cyclist looking to avail of B2Work scheme.

Not road racing or anything like that, would like something comfortable and smooth for 30 minute commute, weekend spins down the greenway track etc...

Would a hybrid be my best bet?

Stock in our local place isn't hectic any advice you could give me would be appreciated.

Would you stretch an extra €100? With bike to work you can available up to €1250 so it's not that much of a stretch really.

I have a Trek Dual Sport 3, suits me for similar usage (a little bit off road too) as what you are looking at. Personally I can't really fault it.

There is not much left now but the Triban RC 500 or 520 are really good.
