    That menu option on the router interface is available only in Virgin UK, Here you have to request Modem mode.

    Once you're given IPv4 though the option becomes available on the interface and you can switch back and forth.

    You just need to ask their customer support. They shouldn't really need a reason, it's a common request.

    I used their chat service to switch to an ipv4 address. Once that's done you need to reset the modem, follow the instructions carefully it took me a few attempts to do it properly.
