Anyone using an endoscope?

Has anyone bought one of the cheap endoscopes (5mm or similar, for 22lr)?

Thinking of getting one after seeing a post here about cleaning rifles JP22 shared a very well put together pdf.

I remember looking in to getting one a while back and was told anything decent would cost big money.
Looking at some now "cheap" ones range from 5quid to around 250.

    Anyone experience with them?

    Cheers

Lidl had them a while ago and i was going to buy one, but not for use on the guns mainly. I am sure aliexpress or similar has them for sale, it would want to be very small to fit down a .22 rifle barrel.

Yeah I seen them Tudderone, I think they were 8mm, so I didn't get one.

Think it needs to be max 5.5 for the 22lr.

I've seen some nice looking ones with dual camera (straight and 90 degree), for about 250 sterling. Just not sure if they would be any use.

Unless you're shooting top level benchrest, prone matches etc. using a lapped match barrel there's no point.

I bought one of these about a year ago. Cost me about €100 all in to bring in from amazon.com, great bit of kit an handy to have for cleaning.

I came across them on my searches, but I think they're discontinued, as I couldn't find any still for sale.

They look handy with the solid rod.

    Just ordered one there.
About €50 additional for delivery and PayPals conversion rates! Still cheap enough overall.

    Thanks Zeissman.

If you have an address pal account it is only $4 to ship them and then €15 or €21 to be delivered to your house. Slower way of doing it but usually works out cheaper than getting stuff shipped direct from companies in the states.

    Ahhhh Al!
Well I've "pulled the trigger" already, but will definitely look in to getting one of them accounts!

    Cheers

😬 sorry mate a little late. Yeah definitely do set one up. I've got some cracking deals on stuff like wheeler scope mounting kit plus the scope leveling kit for $89 and shipped them that way. Even with duty still over 50% cheaper than buying it here or the UK.

95% of the time there is no issue but I did have a small issue this year with a tuner that they weren't going to post thinking it was a functioning part of a firearm but once I argued my case they agreed that it didn't violate any laws and shipped it.

    Cheers Al,

Yeah, that's me just being to quick, I'd talk meself out of getting one, so I just got it before that happened haha.

Do you still get issues if you credit card is not a US one, or does it just depend on the company you're buying from?

Its down to the individual shops, I try to pay with PayPal where possible. I would use amazon.com the most and its just linked through my amazon.co.uk but I have bought off a good few shops too. Can't buy off midwayusa which is a shame as they always have great deals going on.

No, . I Got it posted direct to my home address.
I think it came from China

    Lads for anyone following this.
If you are on the teslong site, use the chat function on the site to ask about shipping costs.
They might help you out and there is an option to ship from China.

I got mine (usb/usb micro - but with right adapter it works fine with usb C) on aliexpress. Paid less than 10e with delivery. Works with your mobile as display and is ca 2m long. Adjustable front lights etc. 5.5mm is smallest they do. Quality is decent. I used it few times to work on boat and motorbike.

I bought one of those first. The teslong is far superior for looking at rifle barrels

Micks Garage do a scope for under 17 euro which connects to your phone, just ordered another one.

Arrived on the 25th very easy to use via the phone if its Android, more bore scoping, and you can take pics and vids.
