Mtb turbo trainer

Hi I'm looking to use my bike indoors for the moment (stuck in Quarantine for 2 weeks as just arrived in Ireland this week) and I was wondering is it possible to get a turbo trainer or something similar to use my 29" mtb indoors? If so would anyone have any links?

Most turbos will work with 29" MTBs because the standard road wheel size (700c) is the same as 29".

You will just need a turbo-specific tyre for the MTB, which are surprisingly expensive.

Turbos and tyres are hard to get at the moment, as you would imagine there's been a global rush on turbo trainers.

Yes and yes.

The turbo tyre is a pisstake mind. For that turbo roller material any tyre that's wide enough for your rims will work.

Road slick - down to 19mm rims

A lot of people will tell you to get a dedicated turbo tyre, and on the more expensive turbos with softer (grippier to give a better power transfer) roller material it can make sense, but the cheaper jobs are much harder and the expensive road tyres are worn away quicker.

I never bothered swapping tyres even when running Pave, I'd rather pay for the slight extra wear rather than messing around swapping tyres/wheels each time.
