Would anyone know a car rental agency that lets you rent a car in Ireland and drive it to the UK ? I plan to to that after Covid is over. Checking with agencies they allow a car to be taken to Northern Ireland but not off the island of Ireland.

Thanks for replying, it's an idea. However the reason behind this would be that we have a couple of things that we want to bring so we would like to pack the car with everything in Ireland and then drive everything to the UK.

Do you plan to come back to Ireland and return the car here or return the car in the UK?

    Ireland:
Renters are allowed to travel within Ireland and Northern Ireland.

For vehicles travelling to the U.K., there is an additional charge of 150 Euros plus vat. Please call the branch in advance. Customers wishing to return the car to a different location will be subject to an additional charge.

Much cheaper to rent a car in the ferry terminal in Holyhead

Before Brexit Enterprise done this with a surcharge. No idea the post Brexit companies doing it, but I imagine its still possible.

If you find it hard or expensive, it might be worthwhile renting from Belfast. You'd be adding an extra trip for the driver but might still be useful to consider.

It might be cheaper to pay a man with a van to take the stuff over for you, and travel as a foot passenger and pick up a car at Holyhead.
