Would there be any issues using this mid saps oil instead of low saps on a ten year old Renault?

Possibly. This is a c3 oil. What does your car require?

Spec sheet says this is mid saps.

They had this late last year, it was more expensive then though, around €7

Are you sure they’re not just clearing them out in the store you were in, I can’t see it on their leaflet

Maybe. It was near tallaght. They had about 20

My local store has them now too. Doesn’t seem to be clearance.

This is an unreal bargain. 5w40, 5w30 and 10w40 for €2.99

Would any of these do for a 2006 Honda Civic Dsi 1.4? If so which one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 73,544 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

    Any of them.

Just to expand on that, 10w40 is the minimum spec for that engine. If the car burns oil it’s as well to use this. The 5w30/40 fully synth are better oils as they’re thinner, but if burning oil you’ll go through more of it.

I ran mine on 5w30 (was the i-VTEC though) and it wasn’t burning oil.
Stick with whatever grade you’ve been using so far.

Is this all Lidl's lads do we know?

It’s not on their leaflet that I can see.

    Same stuff €16.99 in Halfords
