Golf passenger door won't unlock, folding mirror stuck

So the brother's car, 2018 model so not old, has started behaving very unusually all of a sudden.

When locking the car with the key fob, the doors lock fine, the driver's side mirror folds in but the passenger side one does not.

When you go to unlock the car, there's a large delay with the driver side mirror unfolding when it's usually instant. All the doors but the passenger side unlock.

If I get into the driver's seat, both wing mirrors fold back in, then they both open up again.

The passenger door can be opened from the inside but once close cannot open from the outside again. The mirrors can be operated fine using the manual controls, can be folded in and it, adjusted etc.

Has anyone seen anything like this before or should I get onto the parish priest?

Is it out of warranty now?

He thinks it would be since about 2 weeks ago, bought it new in February 2018. As far as I know VW only do a 3 year warranty. Only has it still as the new car he ordered in December has been delayed.

I wouldn’t touch it tbh! Let the dealer fix it after they trade it in
