I just could not get my head around the fact that 2008 fiesta still selling for 2grand, I bought a fiesta 2008 for 2grand back in 2019 and traded in, now I am looking for a fiesta same vintage but expecting it for a cheaper price.

I am planning to buy a second car for missus, shes a learner with no prior experience of driving.

What other cars should I consider? Should be fun to drive as the fiesta. No more micra please.

A car of that age? Yup, Yaris or a Jazz. Even go a year or two older if you need to get in budget.

We only recently sold her old 05 Yaris and it was still bullet proof. Not great for getting a 2nd child seat in though :(

I'd take a look at that Jazz on the bangernomics thread Frank21. It looks like it ticks the boxes. Nearly a year of NCT too.

Thanks very much, I bought it today, jazz came with electric sun roof, transmission is pretty solid for 2009 car, engine sounds fantastic what I would expect from honda. Guy we bought it from was pretty good, quite friendly.

Wife is pretty thrilled with it.

Guy was actually nice, €2250 asking price but we agreed on €2150 but he give the €50 back for luck.

That car worth the price, car was pretty solid for its age with honda engine sound, I blast it up to 150km/h on the way home no warning light what so ever. The issue i have is the condensation, the mist on the window, fan was full blast still won't dissappear, demister was on. I have to check manual. Otherwise car is good.

Confuse is it a 1.3 or 1.4 ltr, log book 1.3 but check online its a 1.4?

Also, is it a vtec engine?

I’d say it’s a 1.4 i-VTEC. Should be written in the engine cover or back window I’d say.

They called them 1.3 and 1.4 depending. Engine cc is 1339 so it’s nearer 1.3
