What is the fastest ISP by upload speed?

Are there any companies that do gigabit synchronous broadband where you get gigabit up and down?

Specifically I am looking for a business product if anyone can recommend a carrier or ISP, I need at least 250 Mbit upload but preferably 400 Mbit

    Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, no ISP using Siro, OpenEir's FTTH or OpenEir's copper is in a position to offer you anything more than 100Mbit upload even on business packages.

If you want better, you'll want to be prepared to fork over a four-figure monthly for something like Metro Ethernet (both Virgin and Eir provide these types of products).

You can get symmetrical up to 1Gbps off the likes of Digiweb, Airspeed, Host Ireland and Virgin Media.

Either fibre (not OpenEir or SIRO) or fixed microwave.

Cost will be well into the hundreds a month.

I’m sure I’ve seen someone mention here they had siro business with symmetrical 1gb could have been marlow?

Other option is dedicated fibre which is costly enough

I got a quote off Airwire for 1gb symmetrical and it was €370pm. I just couldnt justify the extra cost over 200Mb (€60pm) upload i got at the time. Which i believe is now only 100Mb.

Siro legacy packages were 1Gbps/200Mbps, these were changed to 1Gbps/100Mbps last year so unless you're an early connection you won't get that upload profile.

Huawei GPON (Eir/Siro kit) is more than capable of symmetrical 1Gbps but Siro are the only ones to offer it commercially.

As above, these packages get pricy, but you have the option to pick exactly what speed you need from 100Mbps to 1Gbps symmetrical and they have an SLA associated with them which is pretty essential if your business relies on it (regardless of speed).

To put it in perspective, a site I manage pays 700 per month plus vat for a 300Mbps symmetrical ethernet circuit on eNet infrastructure. It's not a bad deal...

I'm a Paddy living in the US, and this is (almost) literally the main reason I'm struggling to move me and the missus back to Ireland. I need to upload shedloads of video for my gig, and if I can't do that from Ireland, I can't move back home, which I'd like to do, and my clients would be fine with - if I could upload shedloads of data. I need 200/20 minimum.

    Cheers folks

Damn the 1000/200 would have worked for me.....

Speeds in excess of 200/20 are widely available in Ireland. However, property prices and rents in urban areas are quite high. If location isn't an issue, consider picking one of the rural areas already covered by fibre-to-the-home (FTTH). You will get speeds of 1000/100 as standard in all these locations and you can pick up properties at a fraction of the cost in urban locations. Check out the existing rural fibre rollout - https://fibrerollout.ie/

If upload is the concern why are you aiming for 200MB down and only 20MB up.
Plenty give 20MB up, I don't live in a large town or city and I have 100/20 package. In reality its 80/20 but still not bad for a rural area.

But as mentioned fibre availability in Ireland is much improved, I'd wager that Ireland overall has better broadband coverage then the USA overall does.
