Cheaping Out on your own Model Layout

Now of course in a perfect world I would always buy Oxford Miniatures for my exact scale models. But, there are an increasing array of Miasto and Siku models too being purchased. Cheap while still have acceptable level of detail.

Just don't mention Hot Wheels vehicles. Chav Mobiles at the best.

How do you economize or does the game console have a more revered place in your house?

I have each of those on display here in our son's room,

I'm new to collecting myself, started at Christmas, I know very little about the scene; as result can I ask why you dislike Hotwheels? Is it even the real rider models?

I've recently bought some Tarmac Works 1:64 scale 20ft shipping containers and models. Great detail in those too.
