    Hi All,

I’ve had this power washer since about 2009-2010 so it doesn’t really owe me anything but I’m not a fan of buying new when there is a chance of fixing something.

I’ve recorded a short video to show what’s wrong with it, please turn down the volume as it’s awfully loud.

The power washer is a Karcher K6.91, it’s making a grinding noise when in use and has low pressure.

I’ve ran water through it for about five minutes with the motor turned off to flush out any air.

    Thanks for your input!

It could be full of dirt in the filter, this is located where it connects to the mains supply, might need a long pliers to take it out...

I cleaned out the filter, it was full of gunk but it’s still the same.

I have had a similar washer and what happened a few times was that the nozzle in the lance would rust causing back pressure on the pump making it noisey, it would then need to be stripped and cleaned, also if the cooling fan on the motor has loosened it would make a right racket

Sounds very dry, prob needs oil for starters.

Thanks, I did not realize that it required oil. Another day another lesson....
