    KFC Popcorn Bucket

It’s time for a saving on what you’ve been craving. The Popcorn Bucket is back at KFC. Just head to a KFC near you and swap 8 golden coins for 80 golden pieces of popcorn chicken, a total steal of a deal.
This offer’s a KFC exclusive, so you’ll only find it when you visit us...so head into a restaurant, or Drive Thru (this one’s not on delivery).
It’s only around until 2nd May, so get poppin’ before they’re gone!

Has anyone availed of the offer? T&Cs say it depends on availability

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 315 ✭✭ggmad

I tried getting the offer at 8:30pm tonight at Liffey valley drive thru, they were all out of popcorn chicken :(

Got one this evening at Ennis Rd drive through, Limerick.
They always offer the 4 sides for €4 special too, so a bucket of popcorn, 2 chips and 2 gravy's for €12 :D

Yes. Got it last night in Charlestown, Dublin 11 as the 9yo was banging on about it all week.

Yeah it is and i know I (and from what I see on google play store most people) cant log in to the app

I tried reset password and setup new account

This is the same with subway for valetnines deal, the app kept say your offline and couldnt order, but managed to do it online (just)

It is not an app thing.
It's a standard promotion available to all customers.
If there's no signage, just ask for the 80 piece popcorn bucket special :)

The only catch is that you have to be signed up to the KFC’s the loyalty scheme (The Colonel’s Club) and have their app to avail of the bucket

Just like the last promo, 9 fillets for €9, I can't find any attempt at online promotion either.
I just heard it on the radio last week, so knew it was going on :)

No idea what a club card is.

I drive through the drive through. Ask for the 80 piece popcorn chicken and hand over €8. Nothing more, nothing less.

My son seen the banner on the side of a bus last week.

Thanks, next time I'm passing I'll get one

No KFC in Mayo, and I'd absolutely love a KFC now. Kids looking for a McDonald's drive thru because they have Jurassic world happy meal and tbh I cannot stand McDonald's.

If you have dowloaded to app, the following deals are available till July 4th:

4 Piece Boneless Dips Meal €7.60

12 Piece Boneless Dipping Feast €25

They had 10 original recipe pieces for €15 until June 6th. I reckon no crazy deals like that until the chicken fillet roll goes away end of July. Then they'll rotate popcorn bucket or boneless bucket back in. They are on a different cycle with the same deals in the UK

    What was the quality like?

(We got a meal in the Childers Road outlet a couple of weeks ago. It was very poor, particularly the chips.)

I personally prefer the Ennis road one, though i've has poor meals from both, I've had more poor ones from Childers.
Saying that Ennis road isn't there as long, and as a rule, KFC can be hit and miss in general, so keep those in mind :)

The drive through in Liffey Valley is the most rank food experience I have had the displeasure to experience. Been 3 times since it opened, no improvement, never again even if they were giving the stuff away.

‘Most rank food experience’ I can understand going the second time, I suppose, but lucky number 3? Doh

Can confirm, KFC franchises are bloody awful most of the time

A thing isn't what it says it is.

A thing is what it does.

Some obviously are as are McDonald’s I presume, ate McDonald’s in Brasov Romania many many years ago, armed guy on the door, food and premises 5 star compared to our dirty kips, beer on tap,we just seem to mess everything up, you can only imagine the havoc here if beer was served on the premises

The Douglas one is really good - they are tolerant of people who don't know the menus back-to-front like I do in McD's. The queue is one-tenth of that for the golden arches also.

Stopped getting KFC a long time ago because of terrible chips.......the burnt chips seem to be planned as it's on their advertising

The KFC in Waterford , for the drive thru, the menu boards are AFTER the bloody order placing/microphone thingy !?!?!

Isnt the idea of a menu to show you what you can get BEFORE you order, not after you order?!!?!

(we dont go to kfc much, so wouldnt be up to speed on all their deals/buckets etc)
