Moving VDSL/phone line socket

Moved into new place recently and the phone line socket is in the strangest place - at light-switch height near a central door. Do I reach out to OpenEir to move this or get an electrician? Why would someone put it here?! It’s not even near the main front door which I thought was the typical place these would be installed.…

If the house is old that may have been where the rotary phone was many moons ago.

A sparks can intercept it as it enters the house if its accessible.
