After MVDP's bar failure at the end of Le Samyn, Canyon have issued a public notice to stop riding the new model Canyon Aeroard with the newer handlebar design. While the bar failed at the shifter clamp, the mulit-piece design has come under scrutiny and Canyon will look to address any design and manufacturing concerns.…

After MVDP's bar failure at the end of Le Samyn, Canyon have issued a public notice to stop riding the new model Canyon Aeroard with the newer handlebar design. While the bar failed at the shifter clamp, the mulit-piece design has come under scrutiny and Canyon will look to address any design and manufacturing concerns.

Alpecin Fenix and other Canyon sponsored teams will revert back to older model Aeroads and Ultimate CF models.

Not good for Canyon after the seatpost debacle just a while back, which saw many online discussions about the apparent flaw in that design. Canyon have set about redesigning the seatpost clamp. We'll see how they go about resolving this.
