I had a question where recently about an upgrade for my miA2 lite. The link to the phone that someone recommended has expired. I like the A2 lite phone and especially the battery but it's slowing down and I could be doing with a better camera.

I'm not into gaming or heavy usage, just the normal apps etc.

    Budget is €400 ish max

pixel 4a is a good option as it has a great point-and-shoot (i.e. great photos with no messing on settings) camera - class-leading photo results.

decent battery and cpu is well-suited to normal tasks

getting the latest versions of android first can be quite handy also and it's an android version with no bloatware (like the mi a2 lite had but even cleaner and updates always on time from google) and you get years of guaranteed updates unlike with other manufacturers

cheaper at vodafone but you may have to buy a top up possibly

they occasionally had a discount for porting a number but not on at the moment

    all google phones come unlocked

    I don't really understand the updates/android thing.

What about a mi 10t lite 5g, or similar?

updates for 3 years of main software android versions

most phones get 1 main version update

mi 10 lite 5G is decent - buy on amazon spain prob best

but even tho camera is higher resolution the pixel will produce better photos due to better software optimisation

cpu in pixel runs fine for normal use as you described

one in mi 10 is more powerful but you probably don't need it

you did mention camera hence pixel suggestion

could wait to see if a deal appears on pixel 4a 5G which has bigger battery and 5G and same cpu as the mi 10 lite 5G

I have been looking on boards and online and I like the look of the Poco X3 NFC , and it's a reasonable price.

It's a decent option for half the budget

probably worth getting the 128gb version

photos will not be pixel level but a huge step up from the mi a2 lite
