Have 30 near fit for factory.

    All bought in last Aug/Sep

My annual test was 01/04/2020 & Passed.

Some of bought in stock were tested 10/03/20 (on original farm)

Some more tested on 15/04/20 (on original farm)

Rest of tests up in May.

    Questions i have is:

    1. Can i bring ones out of test on 10/03/21 to factory on say 15th March? (5 days out of test) but my herd still in test.

    2. bring same cattle to factory after 01/04/21 when those same cattle are out of test and my annual test is also come and gone but not yet done?

    3. Batch of cattle with test dates of 15/04. Can these be sent to factory on say on 10/04/21 as Cattle in test but my annual test not completed

Had chat with agents today and got different answers.

Anyone know? In relation to 1 above I heard they be accepted in Factory but dept would lock up my herd once notified by factory till test done.

As most are near finished id rather not test until all gone. But I'd like to wait a bit till prices possibly lift.

P.S I'm aware of mart regulations.

    TIA

You can do No 1. Department will lock your herd to stop you selling cattle in the mart. You can still buy in cattle.

The factory I go to will not allow No 2. While individual cattle can be slaughtered out of test your herd must be in test. No 3 is covered by this as well. Just as an aside about No3 even if you carried out you test prior to the 1/4/21 you should not move cattle while test is in progress. Only waiver on that is where you need to slaight an animal for H&S reasons.

In relation to 1 could I still go with rest of cattle to factory after dept restricts me, at least until my test on 01/04?

Yes you are only limited from selling in the mart. There is a second stage where you can be stopped buying in but I never reached that
