The Wicklow Way

Planning on doing the Wicklow Way when it's allowed and trying to make out a plan. Well in advance I know but I need something to look forward too haha. I'm going to start at Marley Park and hopefully wild camp the whole way. Finding somewhere to camp should be ok once I'm past the first stage. Does anybody know where you could camp on the first stage or would you be safer going on a bit further before stopping?

How far are you thinking of walking per day?

Planning this too, but optimistically planning for two days running with one overnight somewhere after the half way point. Hoping that the Glenmalure inn will be open for a hearty feed then too!

Can't really advise on spots though, but best of luck with the planning.

Don't know if you have it but the guide books by East West Mapping are very good - though not in terms of wild camping spots.

Looking at maybe doing 15k or so a day. If possible.

Great stuff, please God we have a bit of normality back for when the good weather sets in.

I did it in my youth and made it to Knockree Hostel first night ( 8 hours walk) and Glendalough ( 6 hours ,I think), and Aughavannagh Hostel on third night and came home over Lugnaquilla into Donard.I would recommend staying in Glendalough for a bit of comfort on the second night,
Never did venture further than that and time is running out so need to get my act together.
