Are there different types of drainage stone like other stone?
For example three inch down 804 etc.
Do you ask for something like two inch drainage stone?

    You want clean stone.
3 inch down is 3 inch down to dust, that'd be no good for drainage.

If you order 3 inch clean stone it would probably do the job.

I asked local quarry last week about it here. 38mm clean round stone they supply for it . €8 plus vat ex pit and I draw it

was giving €10 plus vat ex pit for 14mm for the house driveway

30mm clean is usually what i use. ideally you want round stone so that the gaps dont fill in easy.

Imperative to use a membrane if you want no hassle down the line as those gaps end up filling with sediment.

Yep, dig hole, line outside with weed membrane and fill with stone, wrap it up like a parcel.
