I learned to drive and can do everything now besides parallel park & park in parking spaces between two lines. My driving instructor never went over this with me and although it probably seems like something so basic that anyone could do, I cant see to get the hang of it, I always position the car wrong.
I avoid driving places where I know ill have to park somewhere with lines or parallel between cars.
Is it normal to struggle with this? Just wondering how other learned and can you give any tips?
    Thanks.

It is a skill you need to learn. It is not basic at all, especially parallel parking. I couldn't figure it out until a driving instructor showed me how. then it made sense. if your instructor doesn't show you then look up a couple of vids on YT to get an idea of when you should start to turn. Setup a couple of cones somewhere and just practice practice practice. the same with parking in car parks. it is a skill that you have to practice. It is also pretty good practice for the observation needed for reversing around a corner.

It is normal to struggle with parallel parking, we all have.

It can help to reverse around corners or just reverse in general.
Go to some empty industrial estate and reverse around corners and into parking spots.

Parking in a parking spot with lines - always reverse in even if it means holding up other traffic.
It'll be easier and safer when you want to leave.
