As previously mentioned, I'm thinning the herd...

    First up:

86/87 Raleigh Equipe, with modern wheelset and a few other changes.
23.5 inch frame, in old money, so suited to the taller gentleman about town...who likes old bikes.

Raleigh's standard 18-23 steel tubing. Nothing special but after Armageddon, all that will survive is cockroaches and....Raleigh steel frames.
Original Weinmann brake calipers and Sachs Huret derailleurs.

Bike was stripped, polished, cleaned, serviced and rebuilt.
New reproduction decals from H Lloyds in the UK.

New 700x28C Michelin Dynamic Classic tyres with new tubes.
No name aero brake levers added, just cos I had a pair spare and they suit the bike.

All cables and housings are new.
Chain is either brand new, or a good condition recycled vintage one...can't remember.

Lots of little age related marks and I rattlecan resprayed the rear chainstay due to surface rust, but it's still a nice cool retro looking bike and quite presentable.

Modern bar-tape and saddle for a bit of colour coordinated bling.
I always liked the grey/yellow/white colourscheme on these back in the day and this was just a fun project to fix up. It has literally done the length of my street and back, since it was rebuilt.

I'll include the 'as found' pic, for comparison.
180 New European pounds, please, which I think is fair enough?
I'm based in Waterford, but delivery is possible, within reason, if you cover the diesel (I'll provide my own ham sandwiches and flask of tay)...don't message me from Killybegs, or the Blasket Islands, or you will receive no bicycle but plenty of dirty looks and sarcasm.

    Operation Transformation - that's a great job!

Would be great as a winter trainer.

I'm pretty sure I saw the original listed on Adverts - you've done a great job there!

Yeah, GLWS, list it for 2x what it's worth and hope someone offers you half + a packet of Meanies.

    Or a couch.

    Or a 3 legged pony.

Or the entire back catalogue of Roger Whitaker......on 8-track.

There are some strange people there.

    Wish me luck.

Mods: please close, I'm off on me bike to the dark place.
