Apologies if this has been answered before,

Are there copyright issues showing You Tube videos to a large audience (100 - 150) for entertainment / educational purposes?

If so, could somebody link me to someone. *I have googled it all morning but very confused as to finding an exact answer.

    Regards.

Entertainment purposes would be more of an issue than educational purposes.

You need to consider the rights of the content creator and also check the website terms and conditions.

It also depends on what and how much you show. Non-classified US government video is generally free to use. Showing the current blockbuster is another matter. 10 seconds from said blockbuster isn't generally a problem, the whole film would be.
