I can't believe it Just saw me old ford fiesta of donedeal selling over 2k by a dealer, I originally bought it for 2k how on earth still selling for 2k after putting on about 40k miles on it. Can't believe it I'll buy it again for €500.

Dealer sells car for more than they paid for it, this is a new concept to you?

You're not even going to post up the link?

    "Old" at 2008?
That's exactly the age bracket I'd be considering "newish" !
    Wouldn't be giving €2000, more like 750 to 800...

What I meant was my previous car. Exactly I won't be paying for 2k .

How long will the price stay like that?
what happens if none bought it for a long period of time?

Of course a 13 year old car is "old"... Utter nonsense to be referring to such an old car as "newish" unless you are virtue signalling an uber frugal lifestyle choice 🤔

You are overthinking it there carfinder......
Compared to the 1983 and 1992 cars I have, 2008 is indeed "newish".

Prices of second hand cars have gone up massively since the UK left the EU. It must be unfeasible to import now. I have seen prices like 9,000e for a ten year old Ford Focus.

I bought an 08 Citroen C4 in October, ( an Auto, cause I had surgery and a cast on) for €1350.
Surprised at how nicely it drives, to be honest.
Had planned to sell it when I got mobile again, but I'll probably keep it till summer.
Might even get my money back..
Same engine as countless Ford Focus's.

can't be much of a dealer if he's selling 13 yr old cars.

How much did they give you for it as a trade in when you bought the Renault?
