Is remote central locking an issue for the NCT?

    Hi,


    Car due to go for NCT.


    The remote central locking of one of the rear doors is not working. The door lock needs to be locked and unlocked manually.


    Is this something that will fail an NCT?

    Never seen them test the locks.

    Leave it unlocked for them just in case you get a pedantic person who says that they can't access the back seats to test the seatbelt

    Shouldn't be. Just to avoid the aggravation,make sure it's unlocked when it goes in to the test centre.

    Generally you can program the remote central locking to lock/unlock specific doors - e.g. some people just want the drivers door to unlock. If it's an issue, just tell them you have it set up that way.

    Mine doesn't work on a 2 door car and it was never flagged as an issue.

    Just make sure each door & boot is unlocked & you'll be grand. Leave the key in the ignition so he doesn't try the remote.
