I know someone who has one, lovely car, comfortable and reliable. Fuel economy is excellent, I think he's getting about 4.5l/100km on a mixture of motorway and city driving.

What sort of driving are you doing yourself?

Thanks think I'm gonna go for it, at the moment I'm working from home so very little driving but post covid I will be doing very short 6 minute commutes with a few weekly trips to the coast which is about a 45 min drive away.

The ioniq petrol hybrid can feel funny to drive. I suggest you give it a good test drive in urban and rural type roads/speeds.

There is very few sold nationwide. It might be difficult to resell or get spare parts for down the road

The full electric was a bigger seller so you might be able to get panels or non engine parts from them. I am on an ioniq international Facebook group and there is the odd reports on issues. I would check the warranty and see if there is age or mileage caps and if it will transfer on to new owner. Ad says 1 year but typically Hyundai offer more. I am not a big fan of hydrids, they are more suited to stop start city driving, and other makes are far more popular and in common usage.

Thanks, took one for a test drive today and really enjoyed it, the 1 year warranty is good for me and I have the option to extend to 24 months. Big jump in spec too from my current drive
