Damp floor insect identification?

    Hi,

    In a new shed metal shed, I have studded walls and am resolving damp issues In the floor.

    When I removed a number of wooden lats I placed only a few months back for studding I have encountered some insects crawling and flying about.

    I wonder can anyone identify what the insect is and should I have further reasons for concern?

    I dont think we have cockroaches that fly. Jump maybe but not fly. Plus they look too dark to be roaches. Think the most common one in ireland is the german roach which is kinda like a glossy brown colour.

    Has ti be the beetle mentioned in the above post

    An idea of scale would be useful. Around how long are they, maybe the size of a 20c coin?
