Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

Looking for some advice on running online competitions/ raffle like those seen on Facebook/ Instagram i.e. €10 entry to be in a chance to win a car etc..

Does anybody know the legality of these type of competitions? Most ofthe ones I've seen are N.I/ UK based and I understand that there is different laws surrounding it than here in ROI. Any of the articles I've read seem to be contradicting and messy.

I know I will have to go to a solicitor if I do decide to go ahead with it anyway but just wondering how much id involved with setting up.

    Thanks.

You need the Gaming and Lotteries Act, 1956 I think it was. There are loopholes but it's definitely something you need legal advice on.

Yeah I saw that popping up, also saw talks of newer laws being introduced, as you said probably best to seek legal advice first.
