    Hi All,

Bought a car last week from Portadown - found some issues with it - contacted the garage where I bought it and all will be resolved through the warranty. I need to travel up next week - during lockdown - could this be considered an essential journey? What's the situation with the border - are there still checkpoints / fines if crossing?

    Thanks

Yes car maintenance is classed as essential, just bring a letter from the garage stating they are carrying out warranty repairs on the car.

Where does it say that? I didn't find it on the gov page
