    Hi there. Hope OK to post this. The chain on the roman blind in our room broke and it's currently stuck half way :(

    We are having no luck with blind companies fixing it ("no sorry. We don't do roman blinds anymore") Does anyone here know if it's a big job or even possible to DIY with the right materials??!

    Photos would help. But unless the mechanism itself is damaged, it should be a straightforward repair.

    Photos would help. Parts are most likely available on Amazon or Ebay. I found some for a different type of blind a few years' back.

    Several videos on YouTube including this one.

    Shouldn't be a bid deal once you have a replacement chain which you can get easily enough.

    Most critical part of the job is telling your partner beforehand that it is going to be expensive and difficult. ;)

    Thanks to all of you for your replies. I don't think we're left with any option other than attempt to DIY at this stage... Will post a pic later and see what you think. Thanks so much!

    Above video is for roller blinds,
    Principle is same but Roman blinds are different in that the whole cassette or headrail will have to be removed if blind is fitted inside window recess,
    but it's easy to take it off the clips which will be fixed to the frame or the head of the recess.
    Then it's fairly straight forward, as mentioned plenty you-tube videos,
    just make sure they are for the right blinds;
