Buying a Japanese imported Prius, diagnostics?

I've gone through a few of the old threads but wonder if anyone has recent experiences to share.

I'm looking at buying a 6 year old prius from a reputable dealer. Insurance company isn't an issue and I believe parts are easily got. I know warranties aren't valid but that there aren't too many issues with the prius anyway. One thing that does pop up is the diagnostics and that Toyota Ireland can't interface with the prius system - would anyone have any knowledge if this is still true? Any other advice?

    Thanks

Well considering nearly every taxi driver in the country is driving a Japanese import Prius I wouldn’t be too worried
