    Hi all .
Our daughter got a restricter fitter to her car , Audi A3 . After being fitted the battery kept discharging . Brought it to our local mechanic who found that the restricter was fitted incorrect . They had cut through the wiring loom and cut wires . Garage said she was lucky the car didn't catch fire . This is from a well advertised insurance company . Just wondering if anybody else had issues similar . Thanks .

What's the company? They surely advertise that they fit restrictors anyway, so no secret. Never heard of it being done.

Say goodbye to your manufacturers warranty too having had a third party play with engine wiring....

That’s a tracker so. Manufacturers have guidelines for where and how you connect stuff like that.

Get an estimate for a new loom or repair or whatever and approach insurance company.
    Get photos of the install.

Mechanic giving her letter , has it repaired , took him most of the day to sort as it affected other parts also .

Oh, your mechanic should not have touched it if you wanted the insurance company to deal with it. The insurance company would need to see how it was originally wired wrong to go back to the contractor who fitted it. Now it's just your word and a letter that really has no bearing.

That's true enough, pictures should suffice if any were taken.
