Cheers that looks good: anyone know if my old rockshox is a straight or tapered? Am scared to take the thing off at this stage.

The rockshox is 7 years old- tbh I didn't mind it and got plenty of mud and grit in the seals which has severely scraped inside of the stanchions- I changed seals but still leaking air. Feels and looks like a write off.

    Google gave me this: https://www.bike24.com/p2251322.html

Any where in ireland with Manitou stock?

Guessing your fork is a write off then.Always wipe down on your stanchions ;)
Yeh thats the one and i doubt you can get it in ireland especially during covid and anyway its going to be more expensive. Those german websites are grand anyway, if not bike24 try rose.
Your bike is straight steered but you can fit a tapered fork if you change the headset, added cost though and tapered forks usually cost more.
However those forks you posted orignally are cheap but quite heavy and would be a downgrade imo
