Jobseekers Means Test Question

    Hi all,

just looking for some info on the JSA means test. My partner is going to be looking to start working soon. I'm just looking at what she may be entitled to until she finds a job.

We are currently renting for €950 per month. We have a seven month old son.
She has never gotten any maternity benefit or payments in Ireland previously as she only moved here last year so we could start our family here (I'm from Ireland).

My net weekly income is €545. I'm just wondering if anyone knows how the means test works, and will they taking into account that our rent is €950 per month and we have a young son. I'm the only one working at the moment in the family. Would she be entitled to the full €203 per week?

Any advice on what she may be entitled to while she looks for work would be much appreciate. Thanks
