    Hi all,

We are buying a new house and hope to be closing out in the next month (bank delays). The house is a 2002 build and one of the items which the engineer suggested we replace is the gas boiler due to age etc.

I have seen that there is a SEAI grant available towards this -> https://www.swyftenergy.ie/grants

Has anyone any gone through this grant application?
How long did it take for the whole process?
    Did you save much money?

Those grants are not for boiler, they are for controls. You would be entitled to them with your current boiler, if you upgraded controls to the required level. (assuming those controls are not already in place). I think there is a need for a before (which you should have on a property changing hands) and after BER cert also, but you would need to clarify this. You would be best reading what's required on the SEAI website, rather than the site of someone who has "skin in the game".

Ask around locally for a good RGI and and get them to service it and give a report on its condition.

Please follow site and charter rules. "Resistance is futile"
