    Hi Folks,

Just a quick question for thoses in the know, Browsing thru some houses and came across one we would be interested in but the ad states as follows....

6 months per occupancy by owner per annum.

Have no idea what this means and have never come across it before. Any ideas ?

    Thanks....

Sounds like it was built as a holiday home and that's a condition of planning permission.

It's a holiday home and you cannot live in it yourself for more than 6 months of the year. You have to rent it for the other six months.

A mortgage may be difficult, but if you were a cash buyer, simply go down there and see if other properties are fully occupied (this tends to happen and rarely do councils enforce regulations)

I can see why you like it (wasn't that difficult to locate - Cork?)

Looking at other houses nearby (looks like the same external view), some were available for rent for a years lease, back in 2013.
