    Is there any way to do this without paying money? Also, what about entering your IMEI into one of those sites? Are there risks in doing this?

    If your iPhone is on iOS 14 and you can get into the settings, you can check it yourself by following the advice here: https://support.apple.com/en-ie/HT201328

    Settings > General > About > Network Provider Lock > *answer here*
