    Hi all

Just looking for help on this one. My fiancée & I have submitted our mortgage application to our broker yesterday. We are first time buyers but not sure of what way the scheme works. The house we seen & want is €320k. We have the 10% deposit but does anyone know how much the house will be if we get the grant & what the repayments per month will be ?

I'm assuming, but probably wrong you are referring to Help to Buy scheme which is the government grant for first time buyers. The amount you receive in grant is based on dirt tax you have paid over the previous 4 years employment, you can apply for this and should do so in your paye online. You can do a group return, or single. Your broker should detail this for you too. Although they won't apply for it for you. The full amount you receive is up to 30k. The application is fairly simple and you get a code and details of amount you are granted. This can then be offset against mortgage once you are drawing down.
