home renovation queries

We are due to build an extension to and renovate a 30 year old detached dormer bungalow and would appreciate any advice.

    1. Our boiler house is in the path of the extension and due to be demolished.Would like to upgrade the whole system to enable a zoned area system (upstairs and downstairs) so assuming all rads need to be replaced too as they will have thermostats?. How much should we budget for this? We have gas OFCH heating. I rem in a previuos house looking at something similar but we had to spend 3500 to get the grant of about 500. Ended up just changing the boiler alone for 2K at the time. But this is our forever home so want the best value.

    2. We want to change the current 30 year old bathroom suite and install a shower over the bath. We have an electric shower already and I've heard something like you can't have 2 electric showers, is that right? So then the new one would be off the hot water? And ona smaller note, switch the water cylinder to a larger one so that you can actually fill the bath.

    Many thanks.
