Yes, handy enough but need strong hands as the plate is heavy enough.
    Wear gloves
    Remove bricks, front guard rail

Important remember which way the plate is positioned, it can be put back wrong (chimney sweep did it wing one year, house fired with smoke from first fire). So maybe mark it.
Lift up off the lip and pull towards you. Once clear of the lip you can let it down.
Get a small stick or something to clean over the top of the boiler, you can get you hand in behind it and wipe across the top of it

Clean along the lip where the plate will sit back into

Then take plate, line up straight and push up to the gap back of stove and boiler until the bottom of plate clears the lip (ledge), push inwards and sit it back on the ledge

    Any hassle pm me

Much appreciated. I actually managed to clean it yesterday. Found it harder getting the plate out than putting it back in. How often do you think it needs to be cleaned?

    What are you cleaning?
The stove (top of boiler plate)?
The run to the connection of the flue or the
The flue itself (I'm assuming Flexi flue)

    What are you burning

But a good gauge will be what you found yesterday and how long it was since it was last cleaned.

Regardless, if you're regularly using it, get it professionally cleaned once a year and make sure they put that plate back on the correct way. Light a very small fire after that to make sure the smoke draw is good
