    Hmm.. Listen to, or hear..

    EDIT:

The Joint National Listenership Research (JNLR) is a project conducted on behalf of the Irish radio industry.. In its most recent report entitled Radio in a Digital World, it found that one in 12 (8%)

Actually, wonder how the survey was conducted? I know a lot of people that watch wrestling. Therefore, if I survey my social circle, over 70% of Irish people watch wrestling regularly. Doesn't say where they advertised the survey. If it was only on Radio websites and such you'd assume it's going to be biased.

I used to rarely listen to the the radio. Would listen to Spotify on way to work and way home from work. Yet since WFH kicked off it's Pat Kenny till 12, Newstalk lunchtime, Joe Duffy followed by Moncrief then the Hard shoulder.

It's down to having so much choice with music and zoning out while listening to music much better able to focus with talk radio

At the start of the lockdowns I listened to the radio more as a novelty. It's mostly worn off now.

Can't listen to any station except LyricFM since the pandemic began.

This article seems to paint a rosy picture of radio listening, or is this borne out by your experience?

MORE THAN 80% of Irish people listen to the radio every weekday, according to the latest figures from a JNLR report.

The posters on the Ryan Tubridy/Joe Duffy thread must be part of that 80%..They listen to the shows, even though they hate the shows and the presenters..so the article could well be correct...
