    Good afternoon Boardsies,
As it says on the title this thread is all things pancake tuesday.
Ive picked up my american pancake mix and am preparing for the stacks on tuesday..
Over the years my pancake choice have been basic AF. My favourite being jam rolled up in one of the floury delights..
What is a favourite of yours? I am looking for a new topping this year..

    You mean Shrove Tuesday?
    That's almost a week away.

Drop a few blueberries in them when they’re on the pan, drizzled with maple syrup and a dollop of fresh cream on the side. There is no better option. Ignore everybody else.

When you spoon the mix in the pan, immediately scatter blueberries on it.
When done, top with a dollop of skyr yoghurt and drizzle with maple syrup.

It's the simple recipe that is the best.

What is the meaning behind Shrove Tuesday?
The word shrove is a form of the English word shrive, which means to obtain absolution for one's sins by way of Confession and doing penance.

Never called it Shrove Tuesday myself. For me it's all about pancakes. Pancakes pancakes pancakes. Absolution me beh....

Separate the egg whites and mix until you get lots of bubbles, add a little vinegar to the milk and let it sit for a while.

If you want something different, Kinder bars go well melted on pancakes.

I like the thicker ones, maple syrup and bacon for savoury or with strawberries for sweet. I can't make the crepe-y ones without tearing them apart along the way.

I’ll try that this year :)

I like both types, I usually have the thick ones for breakfast with blueberries/strawberris/syrup and definitely cream! Crepe type then in the evening, a lemon/sugar one, a butter/sugar one and one filled with banana and leftover cream with chocolate sauce on top, yum, good job I don't eat them often!

I love this idea, but i dont see how you would go about it..
Do ya chuck the eggs in the pan near the end or straight from the wrapper.. The possibilities

A friend of mine eats red sauce on hers.

Just spreads it across then rolls it up.

To make it worse (If possible), it's Chef red sauce :(

That banana chocolate syrup option is a massive differential. I will have to try it while i have the crepe pan out on its yearly workout

Are you suggesting Heinz ketchup is better Chef?!

This red sauce twist has taken this thread down a dark path.
    Chef for fast food
    Heinz for everything else
