    Hi all I have a 73 MF 135.
Looking into the engine on the right hand side as the operator would sit almost in front of where the batterty would sit theres a wadged shape plate on its side behind that theres connection going into the engine with a small weap just wondering would anyone mechanically minded know what it could be? Thanks in advance

Would it be a oil pipe for some bearing or bush.
    Can you take a pic.

Is it where the rev counter cable goes in?
There's a little hole under the screw on connection and there's nearly always a little weep of oil from it. Unless it's significant, I wouldn't get too worried about it. You can replace the seal if it's very bad.
    Have a look here.

It's engine oil that's coming out. Just check levels including the engine oil as you would normally. There is unlikely to be that much oil being lost.
