Replacing a tap different size tails

Hi, Looking for a bit of advice here. Have a leaky monobloc tap and got a Roca tap to replace it. The end of the flexible tails are a lot smaller than the current tap. Local plumbing shop gave me a reducer. If i remove the large female side on top of the the metal cover on the plastic pipe, can I install the item in the…

Hi,
