Owning & maintaining a Mercedes

Looks like I'll be picking up a Merc GLA AMG in the next month and as I've not owned one (I've had a BMW) previously I was wondering about maintaining them.

    Servicing costs for instance?

Best place in South Dublin to use to maintain them

Anything I should be wary of that comes with owning a Merc?

    Is it a "real" AMG - e.g. a 35 or a 45 4MATIC?

If it is and if you use the performance, then you'll be spending a lot on maintenance. I guess multiple launches will burn out the clutch - DSG transmission - in no time, you'll eat up the tyres and brakes as well. The 45 has one of the highest specific outputs of any 2.0 litre petrol engine around (>200 BHP/Litre) so I guess that will like it's sup of oil and very regular maintenance too.

Outside of this, I think current Mercs have moved on a bit from those around 10 years ago - I haven't heard of any problems with the A or GLA models (or B equivalent) but it's early days I guess.
