Glowworm 25 pressure

    Hey,

Pressure issues on glowworm boiler, pressure fluctuating up and down, shows 1.0 on the boiler when off, jump to 1.8 when running. May the drop to 0.5 when off or even get stuck at 0.0, add a tiny bit with the filling loop (open slightly for half a second) and it goes back to 1.0.

Anyone any idea before we call someone out?

Sounds like an issue with the expansion vessel. Not a DIY job, but a straight forward fix for a Registered Gas Installer on those boilers.

Maybe just increase the filling pressure to 1.2/1.3 bar or, if RGI not available for a long time, shut off both sides of a double rad, open the vent, slacken a rad connection, drain down the rad, retighten the connection, shut the vent and reopen one side only and re pressurize to 1.3/1.5 bar that will give you a temporary E.vessel and establish if the internal one is failed or a sensor problem but still needs professional help later.
