has anyone every ordered direct from the above?? the reviews online seem very negative to say the least...was looking to buy a Thinkvision monitor and these are the only way to get them here it seems...


would like to hear other peoples experiences with them...

My saga below - ordered on the 11th because it would be shipped in 2 to 3 business days. Turns out it was shipped from the UK, although I don't think it is universal as I think it was glasso who said he got a laptop in a couple of days dispatched from NL

Couldn't speak to anyone for an update, and when I got a response through their online messaging they kindly agreed to contact UPS on my behalf. Didn't realise I had bought from UPS. Never did get an update.

Can't say I would be rushing back.

Just to add, amazon.de have some thinkvision monitors but no idea on value. Ironically this is where I first came across the Lenovo desktop, but decided to order directly as Amazon were indicating delivery by the 3rd of February.

If you do order directly, sign up and you will get a 10% discount code.

Jez that went on a scenic route before getting to you!!! not seen too many positive experiences online to be honest...


You would miss Amazon UK for these kinda things!! might just wait it out until they have their fulfillment center set up here.. or go with amazon de as you mentioned

I purchased a Thinkvision monitor in May and Laptop in November. I got the monitor from the UK within 2 days and the laptop via Netherlands within I think 3-4 days.

No Issues.

No, there were no charges. Actually on that note, I don't think amazon UK is out of contention either - stock issues aside. I ended up on the German site as I was after a desktop and a monitor and there was nothing of interest desktop wise on the UK site.

I was also getting a laptop (2 sons looking for first gaming setups) and also got caught up with the whole overclockers/DPD issue also. Ended up cancelling and ordering from amazon UK, delivered to a relative in the north for speed rather than concern about duty.

January was a frustrating month.

Here's my experience. Ordered a laptop early Feb, looked like it was in transit, then nothing but warehouse scan's from their courier over a number of weeks. Contacted lenovo support on multiple occassions with promises to revert with information once their 'relevant department' had an update from the courier, but never any further communications. Requests for refunds were ignored. Luckily had purchased using paypal and refund claim was paid using their dispute resolution service. Would run a mile from Lenovo in future. Device was delivered 'Burnley' eventually but no idea if that's another courier hub or likely back to the sender.

Whenever ive ordered a bit of tech its gotten to me, but the roundabout way is more often than not.

The constant updates are also headwrecking

Now ive gotten great deals and the stuff is good, so its a case of can you live with the trade-off
