Anybody work seasonally/short term contract?

I am currently in a permanent corporate role and looking to move into something more temporary or seasonal. I'm a data analyst with about 3 years experience.

I don't want to get too much into my personal circumstances but I live a very minimalist life and have no major expenses, debt or dependents in my life. I could probably live off my current savings for a year or two.

I run a very small creative side business and I also love being outdoors. I don't get any satisfaction out of my current role but there are lots of jobs in analysis right now and the money and benefits are great. I would, however, love to spend a few months of the year focusing on my side hustle, hobbies, travel and other interests.

My question is if anybody currently works as a contractor or seasonally right now and how they find it? Ideally I would like to work 6-9 months a year in a contract role. All I tend to see is year long contracts however. I guess a year on year off approach is also an option.
